"Youngblood" is an emblematic track by Russian Circles, an American post-metal band rooted in Chicago, Illinois.

The band was initially formed by childhood friends Mike Sullivan and Dave Turncrantz after their previous bands fell apart. Their original bassist, Colin DeKuiper, left in 2007, leading to the addition of Brian Cook, completing the band's powerful trio.

Russian Circles' moniker originates from a drill exercise practiced in ice hockey – a homage to the sport Sullivan and Turncrantz played growing up in their native St. Louis.
